Welcome to the Fabrisludi website, a design studio for strategic board games with a historical and political theme. The historical periods covered include the Iron Age in central Italy and Greece, the medieval communal era in central and northern Italy, the early 18th century in Central Europe, and the Napoleonic Wars. The fluidity of the political situation in the regions during which the games were developed offers players the same starting points, thanks to some adjustments to historical truth and state boundaries. However, they maintain a connection to reality, allowing players to step into the shoes of Romulus, Provenzano Salvani, or Frederick I of Prussia - a decidedly more engaging experience — not to mention the opportunity for players to overturn historical events in a sort of sliding doors game. The games were born from a project to reclaim historical events, a pretext for revisiting moments and areas that were particularly vibrant and from which some of the most important civilizations arose. A way to delve deeper into the study of those historical periods that have profoundly influenced man’s path on earth and to better understand the motivations behind the decisions of a head of state. |

Merde! allows you to simulate the battles that saw the Grande Armée at play thanks to the maps downloadable from the website and the units of the nations that fought between the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. The original battle planning system, based on the Headquarters boards, simulates that of the period; the boards also establish the organization of the corps that make up the armies and their activation order, allowing the contenders to play simultaneously. Armed conflicts are resolved using Battle cards and, for artillery, Objective and Fire cards. The Action cards regulate various aspects of the game: conditions, weather, initial movement of the corps, resistance tests for units and lines formed by multiple units, as well as the actions of the simulated player. Morale testing becomes essential to determine the efficiency and combat capacity of the units; their organization offers players the ability to choose the formation best suited to the situation. For one or more players aged 14 and up. The average length of a game depends on the size of the battle, ranging from about half an hour to several hours. The game is sold in a print & play package on Wargame Vault; the price of the basic package is 17 euros (USD 20). The battle scenarios featuring the characters, along with maps and army orders of battle, are available on the game page or in Wargame Vault. |

Seven Years is the third installment in the series of games dedicated to the conflicts of the 18th century. It traces the events that involved the European powers in what Churchill called the First World War, which, in the game, takes place across three of the five scenarios: Europe, North America, and the Caribbean. The nations involved are Prussia and Great Britain on one side and France and Austria on the other. Allies of one or the other are Russia, Sweden, the Empire, Saxony, Spain, Portugal, the Electorates of Hanover and Hesse-Kassel. The Events table traces the main events of the war, determines the game turns, and offers useful military and economic advantages to the states. It is important to manage the costs of military expeditions and supply lines, both land and sea, and to safeguard one's soldiers to avoid finding oneself with reduced contingents during the conflict. Unforeseen events represented by the Event markers affect the outcome of battles and the campaign. The war isn't just fought on land: France and Great Britain are vying for dominance of the seas. The game's mechanics are profoundly different from those of other strategic wargames, simulating the real-life difficulties faced during military expeditions, both economically and logisticalally. The battle mechanics have been revisited, making them more streamlined and quicker. For one or two players aged 14 and up. The average game length in campaign mode is several hours, and in scenario mode, from half an hour to an hour. The game is print & play, costs 17 euros (USD 20), and is sold through Wargame Vault. Clicking on the image takes you to the website page. The battle scenarios are available on the game page or in Wargame Vault. |
