MINISTERIES OF WAR

BUDGET STRUCTURE
The budget consists of two items: Regional Revenue and Crown Subsidy. The former depends on the number of regions held, while the latter is the Royal Treasury's contribution for war expenses, which decreases annually by a fixed coefficient, the Attrition.

TERRITORIAL UPDATES
When a region is captured or lost, the Regional Revenue field must be updated using the dropdown menu next to it. The Garrison cost must also be updated using its corresponding dropdown menu. At the beginning of each year, garrison costs must be paid using the button to the left of the field.

RECRUITMENT & OOB
Use the Recruitment block to commission the commanders listed in the dropdown menu. Assign them a unique contingent number and select their units, then click Recruit Contingent. The Reset button clears the fields after recruitment.
Contingents are displayed in the Order of Battle (OOB) window. You can remove a contingent using the DEL button. At the start of each year, the maintenance costs for all active armies and naval squadrons are automatically deducted from the budget.

SPECIAL UNITS
French and British players can recruit allied Native American Tribes. The British can also recruit up to two Portuguese Guerrilla bands and Count Wilhelm von Schaumburg-Lippe. Tribes must be deleted manually once they have been used.

EXTRA ADJUSTMENTS
Use the Extra Expenses & CONVOYS and Extra Earnings menus to deduct costs or add revenues based on the specific items listed in both categories.
